Registration services

Protect the name — and the right to sell it.

An unregistered name, or an unapproved product, is a risk sitting in plain sight. We handle the filings so they aren't.

Trademark registration

1

Search & clearance

We search existing Thai trademark records for conflicts before you commit to a filing, and flag any name or logo risk early.

2

Classification & filing

Your mark is classified against the correct goods and services classes and filed with Thailand's Department of Intellectual Property (DIP).

3

Examination

DIP examines the application for distinctiveness and conflicts; we respond to any office actions on your behalf.

4

Publication & opposition window

Approved marks are published for opposition. We monitor the window and manage any third-party objections.

5

Certificate, renewal & monitoring

Once registered, we track renewal deadlines and keep watch for infringing marks entering the register.

Timelines and requirements vary by trademark class, prior filings, and your corporate structure — we scope every registration individually before quoting a timeline.

Thai FDA registration

1

Category & regulatory assessment

We identify whether your product is regulated as food, a cosmetic, a medical device, or a supplement, and what that means for entering Thailand.

2

Document preparation

Labels, formulations, and supporting documents are prepared and translated to meet Thai FDA requirements.

3

Submission & liaison

We submit the application and act as your point of contact with the Thai FDA through review and approval.

4

Compliance & renewal

Once approved, we track renewal dates and keep your registration in good standing as your range grows.

Requirements differ significantly by product category — we review your product and its intended claims before scoping the registration.

Thai Economy

Thailand's economy in 2026: what it means for brands

GDP growth is steady, exports are the swing factor, and digital spending keeps climbing — here's what the latest numbers mean for market-entry timing.

Economy · September 2026 · 5 min read Read article

Thailand's National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) reported GDP growth of 1.9% in the second quarter of 2026 and has set its full-year forecast in the 2.0–2.5% range, with a 2.2% midpoint, even as global trade tensions and Middle East-related pressures weigh on the outlook. Growth is modest by regional standards, but steady enough to support consistent underlying demand.

The read for brands: exports and tourism are doing the heavy lifting, while domestic consumption grows more slowly but from a large base of more than 70 million consumers. Digital demand is the standout — Thailand's digital economy was valued at roughly 5.6 trillion baht in the first quarter of 2026, up 4.2% year-on-year, with internet penetration at 94.7% and PromptPay handling 27.7 billion transactions a year across 77 million registered accounts.

For a brand weighing whether now is the right time, the practical takeaway is that Thailand currently rewards patience and structure over speed. Categories tied to digital spending, health, tourism-adjacent retail, and everyday consumption tend to hold up better through a moderate-growth cycle than categories dependent on big-ticket discretionary spending.

What this means in practice: put the legal and regulatory foundation — company registration, trademark, and where relevant FDA approval — in place early, so a commercial launch isn't slowed down waiting on paperwork once conditions are right.

Case Study

Red Bull: how a Thai product became a global category

Long before it was an Austrian energy-drink giant, Red Bull was Krating Daeng — a Thai formula built for factory workers and long-haul truck drivers.

Case study · September 2026 · 4 min read Read article

In 1976, Thai entrepreneur Chaleo Yoovidhya developed Krating Daeng, a sweet, non-carbonated energy tonic aimed at Thailand's blue-collar workforce — factory workers, truck drivers, and farmers needing a lift during long shifts. It became a mass-market success in Thailand long before most of the world had heard of it.

The turning point came when Austrian marketer Dietrich Mateschitz, who encountered the drink while travelling in Thailand, partnered with Chaleo to reformulate and rebrand it for Western tastes — carbonated, differently packaged, but built on the same core formula and the same name ("Red Bull" is a direct translation of "Krating Daeng"). Red Bull GmbH launched in Austria in 1987, with Chaleo and his family holding a majority stake — a structure that endured for decades.

The lesson for brands looking at Thailand today isn't really about energy drinks — it's about sequencing. Krating Daeng proved its product-market fit domestically first, on Thai terms, before being adapted for international markets. That local proof point, paired with a clear ownership and licensing structure, is what let a single formula become one of the most recognizable beverage brands in the world.

The reverse path matters just as much: for foreign brands entering Thailand, the same principle applies — win a clearly defined local segment with a locally credible offer before scaling further, rather than trying to be everything to every Thai consumer on day one.

Outlook

The future potential of Thailand's consumer market

Slower headline GDP growth doesn't mean a smaller opportunity — it means the opportunity is shifting toward digital, health, and higher-value retail.

Outlook · September 2026 · 5 min read Read article

Thailand's digital transformation market is projected to grow from roughly USD 10.1 billion in 2025 to USD 16.6 billion by 2031, an 8.75% compound annual growth rate. E-commerce alone was valued at about 1.1 trillion baht in 2024, growing near 14% a year — and social commerce, through platforms like TikTok Shop, Shopee, and Lazada, is expanding even faster, at roughly 18–19% annually.

Platform dynamics are shifting in ways that matter for a market-entry plan: Shopee and Lazada remain the transaction leaders, but TikTok Shop's active usage is climbing quickly, and live shopping now converts at around 7.4% — well above typical e-commerce benchmarks. A brand entering Thailand today needs a plan for at least two or three of these channels, not a single flagship storefront.

On the policy side, NESDC continues to flag structural risks — an ageing population, household debt, and export sensitivity to global trade shifts — but these are medium-term themes rather than reasons to delay a well-sequenced entry. Categories aligned with an ageing, increasingly digital, health-conscious population — wellness, functional food and beverage, and elder-care-adjacent products — are positioned to outgrow the headline GDP number.

The overall picture: Thailand's growth rate looks moderate on paper, but the underlying shift toward digital and social commerce is happening faster than the economy as a whole — which is exactly where a well-positioned, well-registered brand can outperform the macro trend.

Regional

Beyond Thailand: the ASEAN consumer opportunity

Southeast Asia's middle class is expected to more than double by 2030 — and Thailand can be a base for reaching it, not just a destination in itself.

Regional · September 2026 · 5 min read Read article

Southeast Asia's consumer market is one of the fastest-growing in the world. The region's middle and mass-affluent population is projected to grow from around 57 million people in 2017 to 137 million by 2030, and private consumption across the six largest ASEAN economies is projected to grow roughly 8% a year — potentially reaching USD 5 trillion by 2035.

The region's e-commerce market reached an estimated USD 128.4 billion in gross merchandise value in 2024, growing about 12% year-on-year, with Indonesia (roughly 280 million people, household spending over half of GDP), Vietnam, and the Philippines each telling a distinct growth story shaped by urbanisation, rising incomes, and young populations.

For a brand already building compliant, well-registered operations in Thailand, the wider region is a natural next step rather than a separate undertaking: shared logistics corridors, overlapping social-commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop operate across most of ASEAN), and comparable regulatory patterns mean a Thailand playbook can often be adapted rather than rebuilt market by market.

Our recommended sequencing: prove the model in Thailand, where the registration and regulatory process is well understood, then use that operating base and those learnings to plan entry into one or two adjacent ASEAN markets rather than expanding everywhere at once.
